FIXMYSTREET IN LN5 0AH
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LN5 0AH:
Near traffic lights of church Lane, Harmston and A607., 28th April
After heavy rain deep water covers the whole road width. It’s a natural dip and so water collects. Several years ago the traffic lights were replaced and the road resurfaced, yet the drainage was removed!!!!! Crazy illogic at work. So now, shock-horror, we have a major issue with standing water following rainfall. It’s negligent and needs new drainage as a priority. This could get dangerous.

Pothole heading towards Harmston, 18th April
There is a rectangular pot hole in line with the carriageway approx 1m in length and 40cm in width. It is positioned slightly right of centre on the carriageway heading up the hill towards Harmston.
It appears to be the top layer of tarmac that has come away as the surface beneath appears smooth and flat.
This pothole is aligned with a normal driving position causing road users to take avoiding action.

Opposite the chuch, 20th March
Had an update thanks advising that it is Anglia water resposability, understand however the road was resurfaced by council contractors a short time ago and not by Anglia water, this in a dangerous state and requires urgent attention. If my trees fell across the highway I would receive a bill for removal! Fix the problem and give Anglia water a bill for repair, no doubt they will pass on the cost through the water rates anyway so we will all pay towards it.

Bottom corner of harmston hill, 15th March
These extra drain covers were put in place late last year when footpaths repaired to help with drainage, other two had to be repaired early this year, tarmac broken up inside of the bend, cycles and motorcyclist have a greater risk of coming off, all 4 drains are blocked again therefore not much use currently.

Harmston traffic lights A607-Church Lane-B1178, 12th March
This is an intermittent issue but has occured to me regularly over the last six months and both on the way to and from work today. Generally, but not always if you press the crossing button whilst the traffic lights is green when the cars are travelling from the B1178 towards Harmston, when the lights go red the pedestrian button circular light just goes out and you have to reselect it. It doesn't happen all the time but usually I end up holding the crossing button all the time now which is not correct. Other than that the lights are all good.
