Grass verge on southwest corner of Canterbury and Fen., 13th April
There is a “No Road Markings” sign left over from when the potholes at this junction were repaired. The team has since been to repaint the lines on the road, but the sign and sandbag remains, knocked over from the wind. Been there for months now and weeds are growing through it, looks a mess outside of my home!

Due to the amount of potholes on this road the surface is very uneven and bumpy, this caused me to be thrown off my bike and i luckily landed on my hands scraping them badly (seen on photos) , and as the bike landed on the floor it broke the break lever in half (as seen on photos) . The cost of a new one will be £10. Please advise what actions will be taken.

Chapel Road Fiskerton, 26th March
Additional damage to highway assets. The contractor on the Manor Farm building site has ripped out a kerb stone and caused additional damage to the verge.
Hopefully the County Council in their capacity as The Highway Authority will use their powers to ensure that the kerbs and verge are reinstated to an acceptable standard, the adjacent offlets are jetted and the road swept before the contractor leaves the site.
3 images: two show the damage. The third shows the machines on site that allegedly caused the damage and cause detritus to be deposited on the carriageway.

A neighbour has hired a digger and scooped out the bottom of the storm drain. We believe that he is seeding the area and putting up goal posts, so that his children have a football pitch., 23rd March
This is council owned property, used as a flood defence. It was full of wildflowers, it now looks awful. We do not want a load of kids down here unsupervised. We don't understand his thinking. He's also had a load of wood delivered to his house, not sure if this connected. His name is Martin Smith, he lives at 13, Turnberry close, LN4 1TL. There have been a few witnesses to his behaviour.

High Street Fiskerton near Ferry Road, 20th March
An ongoing situation: Following the installation of tactile paving the rad surface broke up. LCC repaired it but unfortunately did not mend all the defective road surface. The 3 images attached show: 1) The defective surface before repair. 2) The repaired surface. The image clearly shows a hole that was not filled and the contractor has not repaired up to the yellow markings. Had they done so this report would be unnecessary. 3) The hole that was left. Now filled with water and beginning to break up once more. Please please, can the job be done properly and obviate the need to come back time and again to the same defect.

Care home development. Chapel Road Fiskerton, 20th March
The developers have built a wall which encroaches onto highways land. They have, allegedly stolen publicly owned land. In doing so they have constructed a new pedestrian access to the site which steps down to the public pavement. The problem this has created is that a considerable amount surface water from the site is now discharged into the Highway. In cold weather icy patches are formed which is a hazard to pedestrians particularly at night when the street lights are turned off. The Highway authority should use their power to persuade the developers to: 1) resite the wall so it’s off highway land. 2) install drainage channels so that surface water from the site does not pass over the footpath.
This has been reported before and was ignored. However, due to the unprecedented flood risks that prevailed at the time of the previous report it was not followed up. But, now the flood risk has subsided it is expected that the Highway Authority will, for the protection of public assets, take action.
