FIXMYSTREET IN LN2 2GA
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LN2 2GA:
Missing section of footpath between Main Street and Northing Lane, 25th April
The existing footpath on Main Street mysteriously disappears a few metres short of Northing Lane, meaning that all pedestrians walking between the village and Northing Lane are forced off the footpath and into the traffic on Main Street just before a dangerous bend.
Northing Lane is a very popular walking route for people, some on their own but many with dogs, children and prams or pushchairs. It is extremely dangerous for all those adults and children to be forced off the footpath on Main Street and into quite heavy traffic before reaching Northing Lane (which is safe to walk down because such traffic as there is is slow moving and largely agricultural).
This missing section of footpath did once exist, but has been colonised by grass over many years.
Could the County Council please reinstate this footpath in the interests of the safety of the many people who use this walking route.

Langworth Road between level crossing and garden cottage, 23rd April
Big craters at road edge. Yesterday 22 April 2024, road workers came and filled in the edge with crushed stone. Large vehicles, tractors etc have churned up the stone and it is now all over the road, flying up and damaged my windscreen. A cyclist or pedestrian could be seriously injured.

Northing Lane, Scothern, 20th April
There is one particularly large pothole, but the entire road surface along the whole length of this very short road is disintegrating fast because it has not been maintained for many years.
The road is heavily used by increasingly large, increasingly heavy agricultural vehicles and HGVs delivering and collecting from the farm at the end - any further delays in proper, lasting, repairs will simply mean an enormous bill to council tax payers.
The whole road surface is in desperate need of remaking.

Craypool Lane, Scothern, 16th April
Recently on two occasions an ambulance on an emergency call has had trouble passing parked cars on Craypool Lane. The first time on 24th march 2024 ambulance had to reserve out onto sudbrooke road and go around the other way onto Craypool lane from Main Street. The other occasion was just now. Is it possible to install double yellow lines along Craypool lane on the left to orchard close? A couple of minutes can make a huge difference on an emergency call.

Blind corner near TwoCorners, 11th April
I have reported this problem in Feb this year and it was said to be actioned in late Feb. There has been no action on this matter and the issue has now got actually worse with more potholes meeting the more than 40 mm deep requirement for action. I would like a response from Lcc Highways why this work was shown as actioned but never started.
