Trip hazard - metal “hole” poking out of grojnd, 23rd January

Tue, 23 Jan 2024 16:57:34 +0000
51.343395 -0.499954

Adjacent to the lock (lock 2) on the Basingstoke canal near Scotland bridge. It looks like there was a white gate (now old / decaying) that st one time would have closed across the footpath and “connected” into this metal hole. However the gate has not been used in the two years I’ve lived here. The metal “hole” is a trio hazard for people and dogs - and someone could really hurt themselves. Esp a dog catching its foot. Perhaps it can be removed if not longer used
