Line marking ambiguous causing near misses, 20th March
Couldn't find the right category and this has been like this for a few years now. I don't live in Hemel but I have seen a number of close calls. The original line markings can be seen in the satellite view on the right in my picture, and are marked in red in the streetview on the left. The new white zigzag lines now end exactly halfway across the middle lane at the roundabout. Those in the right lane could stay in the right hand lane, most do, but some opt for the middle lane at the roundabout causing near misses, as those approaching in the left hand lane, intending to go straight over the roundabout MUST get into the middle lane. WHO PAINTED THOSE LINES LIKE THAT BEFORE THE CROSSING? The lines before the crossing need adjustment to ensure those in the right hand lane, stay in that lane. Also anyone know how you're supposed to turn right, when there's no arrow on the road to show you can turn right?
