Linked to job: 5619894 - Entrance on the right before the 30MPh signs is heading north, 29th April

The below issue got fixed last week, but with the rainfall over the weekend it has become evident that the issue still remains, water is still coming over the kerbstones and into the fields, can this be reinspected. Original job below: Ramp was built up by highways about 20 years ago to stop water from running from the road into the entrance and then through into the adjoining fields. Since the road was resurfaced in 2021 the water now flows over the ramp as the road surface is higher than before the resurfacing. Please can this be looked into as in heavy rain the water runs from the road and floods the field that have stables in them. This is damaging the land and is not good for the horses. Land owner is there at approx 10am and 4pm daily if you would like to meet on site

For the past 18 mths there has been a caravan that parks up permanently overnight and is living here. in the past 3 months a further caravan has appeared with a truck and has cut down vegetation and set up a permanent street stall selling carvings which are carved on site. This is a mess and not only an eyesore but causes issues with cars slowing at a dangerous junction to see what is going on.

As you can see from the photographs it is a very dangerous situation for pedestrians following heavy showers. People have to walk in the middle of the road in order to pass through because there is no path to walk on. It is extremely dangerous and an accident waiting to happen. The road has sunk over a period of time probably due to increased heavy traffic. Also the side grass verges have been destroyed by heavy vehicles. The council committed to returning the road to the same condition that it was prior to the Wycliff development so we urgently await the fulfilment of that commitment before someone is badly injured or even killed.

I cycle to work and the back roads are getting worse and worse. I don't use the A40 due to my husband being knocked off his bike there. This part of Water End Road is particularly bad. At night, it is hard to see all the danger. It's just not a viable road surface anymore.

There are four missing manhole covers on the south side of Old Dashwood Hill., 21st March

Thu, 21 Mar 2024 15:07:46 +0000
51.646265 -0.847391

I discovered one more today. They are telecommunications manholes and the one remaining cover has 'Post Office Telephones' embossed on it. They run from the top of the hill by the gate to the field to just opposite the footpath sign to Piddington at the bottom of the hill. The middle one has been fenced off by the Council but the others are still open. I have placed a redundant road cone against the one at the top of the hill. The last access was by a company called Trooli, but I suspect the covers have been stolen since then.

As per the other reports of milk bottles on the road, I couldn't leave them so I have collected about 50 % of what is there HOWEVER I obviously am not able to properly dispose of them so I have left what I collected at the top of the hill. There are still hundreds further down the hill which I couldn't get as I ran out of light and bags!
