Rattling Manhole Cover., 25th April
The manhole cover in the middle of the road outside 49 Lords Hill in Coleford rattles loudly each time a car travels over it - which happens frequently, due to the narrowness of the road and the volume of traffic. It looks OK and isn't dangerous, but it is a severe noise nuisance. All covers make a noise - but this is exceptional. I have contacted Gloucester Highways by phone, but nothing has been done to rectify the problem. Surely something can be done - please!

Problem Not Fixed Despite Assurance Given!, 19th April
The job with reference number 22044885 was stated as having been completed (I received an email on 17th April stating that the work had been done). It has not! There has been nothing done by way of excavation - and the cover continues to rattle. I reported this via a telephone call earlier today, but did not receive the email acknowledgement promised. I was assured that the matter would be passed to the relevant department to have the issue looked at again, but I can state without any doubt whatsoever that the area surrounding the manhole has not been repaired in any way - the email received on 17th April more than suggests otherwise. Thank you. J. T. Murphy.
