Water seepage from asphalt causing dampness in walls inside Grade II listed cottage., 4th June
The front of our cottage goes straight onto Days-Pottles Lane asphalt and over the last year, dampness has appeared inside the cottage and also causing brickwork in kitchen to crumble. Seems water is seeping into the walls of the cottage from the road. I contacted Alan Connett our local councillor a few months ago and he said he would contact the Highways Department for me. I haven't heard anything. I don't want this to get any worse as it could cause the cob to be damaged..
