Dog muck continues in Appledore, 19th October
First visit I in a year and on a walk close to where I’m staying in Appledore, I discover dog mess. It’s apparently a quiet pathway which dog owners are now using again to allow their dogs to urinate and defecate then not pickup.
The muck is down the alley between 5 and 6 Greysand Crescent and then to left in the turning only space - foul, most foul

Parking on the pavement now, 5th August
A Motorist has parked his vehicle on the pavement outside numbers 8,9 and 10 Greysand Crescent this morning as I walked past.
I hope this is enough for the Motorist to be prosecuted and they are still there now today at 11:55 a.m.

12” Recurring Pot-hole, 19th February
This hazardous pot-hole is repeatedly being filled and within a month it’s a pot-hole again. It continues to be a hazard and no doubt the cause of damage claims against Devon Count Council as it has been for the past 3 years.
Please do a decent job, it must have cost more to keep repeatedly filling it for 3 years.

Motorcycle parking, 5th June
The motorcycle parking provision has not been included in the repainting of parking bays at Churchfields carpark in Appledore, just wondering if this is an omission or a follow on from certain people trying to stop craft launching from the public slipway,

Near Lamppost 23 hole in pavement opened up, 23rd February
Just by lamppost 23 on Marine Parade a deep hole has opened up in the tarmac pavement. This is new and it looks as if the underpinning has been washed away by the sea. Needs a bit of care fast before spreads.

The sides of the lanes at primrose lane and opposite Old Farm need cleaning i.e to allow the water to be channelled as at the moment particularly beside Old Farm there is a lot of water over the road which makes for hazardous conditions if we have a frost., 18th December
The sides of the lane particularly opposite Old Farm need cleaning out to stop the water running over the road which becomes a hazard if we get a frost. I don't remember the last time this was done.

Flooded pavement, 27th November
The pavement near the Rectory Lane bus stop has been flooded for a while and is impassable. As a result, the grass verge is now worn down to mud and very slippery. Now that the hedges have been cut back (been over 18 months) the whole stretch of pavement now needs clearing of algae, weeds and mud to stop it from being slippery.

Dog Poo bags being left by side of footpath regularly, 20th April
Full Dog poo bags are being deposited under the steps by the walk way in front of Flats 18,20,22, &24, We believe it is the owner of no. 22 who has two dogs who is depositing the bags. From time to time he does clear them all away but often there can be 10 or more bags there before he does so. The dog poo bin is less than 70 yards away. This area is a pedestrian walk though to the adjoining footpath. Children regularly play in the are too. We would like some help in asking the individual concerned to stop doing it without causing any resentment/animosity to local people on the estate.
The owner of 24 also has dogs but is diligent in bagging and disposing of her dog waste but does not like to confront her neighbour on this.

Contractor Parking along Torridge Road, 25th April
Contractors working at Ford's Yard, Torridge Road, Appledore are parking along the road in front of Greysand Crescent making parking difficult. My reading of the planning approval conditions shows this is contrary to approval stipulations that contractors working there should use the car park NOT Torridge road.
Some vehicles are using Broad Lane to get to and from the building site which is also contrary to stipulations stating they must use the main road and arrive via Marine Parade.
Contractors are keeping supplies in their cars parked along Torridge Road and walking to and from the building site to pick them up. Contractor vehicles are used as Tea cabins for tea-breaks, lunch etc and store rooms for supplies while parked on Torridge Road Appledore.
Contractors are extending the pedestrian guidance/protection barriers West along Greysand Crescent to enable them to create parking for their vehicles when they arrive the following morning.
Contractors and deliveries are not pulling up onto site to deliver and do not always have guidance or experienced Banksman to guide them.
Would you please see to this as it is, and has been, creating an awful lot of inconvenience for residents some of who are having to use the car park that contractors are supposed to be using. Contractor vehicles are almost always parked in front of numbers 1, 2 and 3 Greysand Crescent but more of their cars, containing stores, are parked further West.
