Collapsed road, 24th March
The road has been used by heavy ladened double lorries clearing logs from the woodlands at Way. These lorries have been using the road for several months. As a result at several locations along the road the surface has collapsed by approximately 20cms, particularly on bends in the road. It is a great risk for inexperienced or non-local drivers and may cause an accident. The road needs surveying from Orchard Barton to Way Cross with repair action undertaken. Consideration should be given to imposing a weight limit on these lanes. They are not designed to take articulated double length lorries to remove logs on behalf of UPM Tilhill forestry management.

Dozens of potholes, 24th February
This stretch of road between Crosslanes and Limekilns is in truly shocking condition. There are dozens of extremely deep potholes along approximately 500 meters of roadway, making the road dangerous, and in some places almost impassable. In any vehicle other than a Land Rover, it can only be tackled at around 5mph. It is an absolute disgrace and a danger to and pedestrian, cyclist or other road user and needs urgent priority repair.

Potholes in road, 23rd February
Numerous potholes, increasing in size and depth on an almost daily basis. This has been getting increasingly worse over the last two years and it is so bad, drivers are trying to avoid them by driving up and eroding the hedge bank. The road has been marked on at least two occasions in the last 12-18 months for repair, but it has not happened. I have had one badly damaged tyre from dropping in to one of these potholes on a winters evening, resulting in the complete write off of an almost new tyre.

Numerous potholes along the entire road, 23rd February
This road is widely used for local traffic between Bridestowe and Boasley, and beyond as a short cut to the road to Holsworthy. Following several years of icy weather the road surface has started to break up in many places causing huge potholes along all parts of the road and for quite some distance in some areas. There is no choice but to drive incredibly slowly through certain parts of this lane. Anyone new to the area or driving in the dark could cause severe damage to their car. I am concerned at the long term impact on my own vehicles as I have to drive along here several times a day to get to and from my house. Whilst it is a minor road it is heavily used by cars, farm lorries and tractors. The whole road needs resurfacing rather than ad hoc temporary fixes to one off pot holes. The worst points are between Crosslanes and the driveway to Millaton House. The road is no longer safe and at some point it is likely to cause a severe accident to an unsuspecting driver. The issue has been present for about three years but got particularly worse in the last 12 months. I know people have complained but there is only ever a temporary fix of one or two of the larger potholes, which quickly start to reappear. Chunks of the road along the side of the lane have just disappeared.
Similar problems have occurred on the lane between Way Cross (194) west towards Orchard Barton. This has been caused by the lorries and heavy machinery used in the deforestation of the woodland behind Way Barton Farm and at Tuckersmoor Plantation, with the transportation of trees and machinery in and out of the woodland.

Potholes, 20th January
There are many potholes along this stretch of lane, so many that it has become impossible to avoid driving over them. The road surface is badly damaged on both sides of the lane. It is really only passable at a very slow speed to avoid damage to the car and needs attention.
