Fence down allowing access to M5 for dogs and kids, 17th April
In the last windy storm, the fence has blown Down on the footpath that goes from Muxbeare Lane to Tiverton parkway station. Reported to Devon County council who advise to report to you. On a recent dog walk I witnessed another dog owner narrowly avoiding her dog running into the motorway, as the motorway crash barrier also ends here. M5 A.233.0 sign can be seen where the issue is. A little further down the path, at the end of the first field, another section of fence is also leaning and I suspect will also fall in another windy storm. The holiday traffic will soon be heavy and the last thing we need is a stray dog on the M5!

Looks like a pony at side of road? It’s on the verge, not blocking the road but so big it’s a shame and needs moving. It’s tan and white. Location on A361 Tiverton towards M5 eastbound. Thank you

Signalling sequencing, 17th April
Since the repair to the bridge in February 2023, the traffic signalling sequence on the roundabout has been changed causing dangerous build up of traffic on the A361. The sequence was working fine prior to the repair work in February. Now traffic regularly queues past the A361 ‘on’ junction at Sampford Peverell - a heavily used junction due to both the train station there and the fact that that junction has no northbound on-ramp and requires motorists to use the motorway junction to join the A361 travelling north.

Cats eyes, 18th December
Travelling last night between Junctions 29 and 27 northbound and the cats eyes are either totally obscured or missing. A serious accident last night here, but the very poor quality of cats eyes does nothing to help motorists. Can they be cleaned or replaced?

Defective cats eyes M5 northbound, 31st October
I travel northbound on the M5 from junction 30 to 26 and the white cats eyes separating the lanes are barely visible for much of my journey, particularly during the rain. The red eyes marking the hard shoulder are also missing at several stretches. This is a hazard to drivers and makes driving extremely unpleasant.
Sorry I can’t be more specific about locations, I drive alone and obviously can’t be noting down mile markers. However the cats eyes definitely deteriorate the further from Exeter you get and are particularly bad around between Cullimpton and junction 26.
Thanks.

Why not inform south bound traffic before Wellington junction so could come off there rather than having to drive all the way down to Collumpton then back up across country to Tiverton area. Just need to tickle brain!, 21st April
No signage at Wellington to say J27 closed so poor souls after long days work driving all way to Ollumpton and back. Do you really think you should be doing this job!

Flickering sign lights, 5th January
This is at the no entry sign at the top of the M5J27 northbound exit slip. It’s on the right hand side at the top of the slip as you leave the motorway. There is a double light arrangement which would put a light over each side of a sign. There is no sign on the slip side of the No-entry sign, yet there is a bulb in the light housing and it is flickering. The bulb needs to be removed but not replaced as it is distracting drivers on the slip and is wasting money /carbon as there is nothing to light. (How many other lights have you got, National highways, which are lighting non-existent signs??). Thanks
