Dog poo, 11th January
At the entrance too both sides of barbauchlaw in Armadale the grass verges are polluted with dog poo . Its disgusting. At one entrance there is actually a red poop box this makes it even more infuriating as they let thee dogs do the toilet directly under the poop box so when I come along with my 2 dogs I always use my poop bags ,my dogs have stepped in other dog poops it’s sickening . Even today along the pavement in barbauchlaw avenue it’s covered in poops ,because for some unknown reason as we had snow these owners will not pick up their dogs mess so when the snow melts it’s like a mine field of poops to try and avoid .

Dividing fence between properties, 11th January
The fence that was erected by Westlothian council was all broken and had been mostly removed by previous tenant of 18 barbauchlaw avenue Eh48 2pu.
There was a small broken section left when I became the new tenant ,it was a dividing fence for myself and the property above .
When I moved in the council collected all the old fence . I would like a dividing fence again ,what’s happening also is people are running threw my garden as a short cut also and I have had garden items stolen and broken ,As a vulnerable disabled adult it’s terrifying too . They youngsters have banged on my door etc too scare me . I feel too have the fence erected would eliminate first of all their easy access and secondary I would feel less frightened too and more safe .
I have looked in to private fencing but I simply can not afford the prices .
I was advised the council wouldn’t put up a boundary fence but that’s nonsense as I have seen WLC erected other fences .
As I stated when I moved into the property in June 2021 the council collected the old fence but never re built it .
The fence would solve a few points. One safety and security .Two stops my garden being used a short cut ,thirdly it’s beneficial as I love a nice garden as i stated earlier im disabled and it’s lovely too sit in the fresh air the upstairs neighbours have a 4 year old child who would also benefit from the security of a border fence as I own 2 large dogs , I also don’t want too see some one else’s messy garden so it’s solving what could be possibly neighbour arguments as they own their side and I own mine hence we are responsible for our own sides .

Abandoned Caravans, 17th January
The street is being used as a dumping ground for abandoned Caravans, the Caravans in question have not been moved in years and display no number plates, which is clearly against the regulations regarding the parking of caravans. They are covered in algae and in a very poor state of repair. This has been pointed out to the environmental enforcement wardens in person on numerous occasions and to date they have done nothing.

McNeil Cres. - King St. Shortcut Calming Measures Required, 2nd June
King St. to Watson Place to McNeil Crescent has been used as a shortcut/race track to beat the cross traffic lights for far to long. Children playing in the streets and on bikes while this at times, main road traffic flows through a built up housing area. 20mph (unenforced) speed limit may as well read national speed limit. One way system or traffic calming measure more significant than a defunct 20mph signs required to discourage use of an "access road" as a shortcut.

Services cover missing in pavement, 3rd May
For several months now, a services cover in the pavement alongside the the old papermill site has been missing. This has been reported previously to West Lothian Council and cones places over the hole. The temporary cover appears to have been removed or collapsed and the cones are half-sticking out the hole. It's dangerous and unsightly. Please could the cover be fixed properly as soon as possible. Thank you.

Street lighting on during daytime, 3rd May
Street lighting on B8047 along front of old paper-mill site is not switching off during the day - indicates a fault - possibly related to the services access cover in the pavement that has still not been fixed and has just been covered by cones for several months now. Lights on during day is also a waste of electricity. Lights have been like this for several weeks, so not a temporary fault. Please fix - thanks.
