There seems to be substantial earthworks (almost certainly with archaeological interest) and a primitive development (a bothy) in an area which is designated. Path access has been diverted. Unclear who owns this ground. This was formerly used for informal picnics and now has groups of car campers and larger parties in an otherwise quiet wildlife site.

Unsuitable surface, 11th August
This appears to be an ELC car park (the signs to the beach suggest so). Yet the surface is not really suitable for anything except SUVs, pickups and (chelsea) tractors. The foundations of an earlier building protrude all over the entrance, making it very easy to do damage to suspension and worse.

Pothole, 11th August
The emergining pothole is just before the bridge over the railway line, where the carriageway narrows. Avoidance risks straying into the eastbound carriageway. The whole bridge section needs upgrading.

Fencing about to fall onto cycle path, 8th July
The fencing is about to fall onto cycle path and the top fencing wire is intruding onto the cycle path there is a real risk of a cyclist handlebars getting got up in this wire The fence runs a good lenth of cycle path and with shrubs and weeds on path the cycle path has been reduced to about 1 meter in places.

Cycle Route 76 Overgrown on main track along A1 Road, 29th July
There are thorns & bushes sticking out onto the cycle path especially near to the speed camera on the A1 and up the hill towards Thorntonloch turnoff. No chance of passing other cyclists at this area and also high possibility of punctures on this part of the route.
