FIXMYSTREET IN EH34 5HE
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of EH34 5HE:
Need a bin, 20th April
The bus stop at this area is now being used frequently by young people getting off at the end of the bus line, due to their free bus passes. Teenagers are getting the bus to Pencaitland and either going to the woods, or just waiting for the bus to turn at the terminus and then get back on at this stop. Litter is frequently being dumped near the bus stop. This is on a main road and would be easily accessible by the vehicles used to empty litter bins. The nearest bin is in the main park. Please could we have a litter bin here?

Numerous reports of dog fouling on Pencaitland Park pitch & grounds, 11th February
The Community Council received recent reports that local volunteers had to pick up copious quantities of dog poo left across the football pitch in Pencaitland Park before a regular game could begin. Clearly a concern given the diseases that can be transmitted via a dog's faeces. "Dog faeces can pose a significant health risk to humans, particularly young children as their immune systems are not fully developed. Children are also more likely to come into contact with soil or sand that contains dog faeces whilst playing in parks, gardens and playgrounds."

Lempockwells Road from Lamberton Court to Pringles Place in very poor condition, major utilities reinstatements failing, pot holes developing on a regular basis despite additional filling and patching, ride quality very poor and during periods of heavy rain, there are significant amounts of stormwater flowing down the road., 1st September
This section of road is adjacent to the new housing development and has been in poor condition for several years. The additional pot hole filling appears to be a temporary solution. The ride quality is poor as a result of reinstatements and the alignment appears to be inconsistent with the new footpath on the west side.

Overgrown hedge blocking pavement side of B6355, 19th July
Hedge really needs cutting back; it's obstructing the pavement, which is already quite narrow. This is a well-used stretch of pavement, and the hedge is at eye level, which makes walking past a bit risky at the moment.
