Dangerously poor road surface, 20th April
The first part of the Boggs road (from Pencaitland) was resurfaced over a year ago, but this part of the road has never been touched. The surface is appalling and is becoming an issue for cyclists. It's so uneven and pitted that cycling on it is like riding a mechanical digger. Cyclists will have to move into the centre of the road to avoid being jolted off their bikes and it's just not safe. It's particularly bag on the stretch between the sharp corner towards the roundabout from Macmerry and the bend at Penston (what3words https://w3w.co/tweaked.clicker.sweeping). It's been like this for years now, but more and more people are choosing to cycle and it needs addressed.

Sounds discouraging public access, 10th August
There are a number of signs giving an implication essentially discouraging the public from using an East Lothian core path. Photo shows estate signage which is misleading and unhelpful given the lack of dates and times as well as the core path sign on the post on the left side. This is not the only sign of this nature.

Pothole, plus terrible surface, 6th June
As shown, the 3-5 layers of 'jet-patching' are deteriorated. Please can we get this whole surface sorted - for 200m north and 70m south. On a bike, it is arguably the roughest continuous piece of road in E Lothian. This is also the point where a 12 year old was hit and spent several weeks in hospital with head injuries - fortunately he has made an excellent recovery. Please fix long term.

Trees overhanging road, 14th August
The trees are overhanging the road (west side and push a cyclist out towards the middle on this bend. My three primary age children cycle along here twice a day - it would make it safer for us if it could please be cut right back, and if you could sweep it as well so we dont get punctures (some hawthorn) - thanks!
