Street lights not working, 18th January
The pathway from newbottle primary academy school heading towards Staddon Way, Newbottle has street lights but they are never turned on. The lights were erected a few years ago. This makes it very dark especially in the winter for children leaving school and for dog walkers. There is also a new estate beside this pathway which must make it unsafe for them too. Please turn these lights on!!

Coming around the corner you are confronted by dip in the road - safety issue, 5th June
As you come around the corner heading towards Fence Houses there is a significant area in the road where the road surface is uneven in approximately three/four places. Not exactly a pot hole just uneven surface due to previous road repairs, causing cars to either brake suddenly or bump up and down

New footpath laid- Quad bikes and off road bikes using, 30th April
Each weekend, Sundays are worse, there are a number of Quad bikes and illegal motorcycles who ride down Station Road turn into West Bridge Street and drive at speed along the public bridleway towards Penshaw/Shiney Row. Sometimes 3/4 together. They ride around the bollards onto the paths. Part of the path has been resurfaced, it will be churned up in no time unless more bollards or preventative measures are put in place. They are a nuisance and annoyance to residents and legitimate users of the paths.

Lots of household rubbish, 27th March
There is an awful lot of household rubbish around the streets of The Crescent, Wright Terrace, Nunn Street and Maple Terrace.
There is a mix of cans, bottles and other general rubbish, but also chairs, fridge freezers and bigger items left at the sides of the roads. It is making the area look an absolute mess.

Full width pothole heading from Philadelphia to grasswell, 23rd March
I reported this before and nothing done. Full width pothole in southbound carriageway as you travel from Philadelphia to Grasswell. Pulls at the wheel of the car when travelling over it. Absolute disgrace.

Parking on oublic footpaths, 11th March
There has been an issue here since the estate was built people parking over and on the footpath meaning people have to walk on the road., It effects me immensely as I have a disability and it means I have to walk on the road. I fall over to the side and last week I had to walk on the road as I couldnt walk on the footpaths for cars parking on the public footpath. Can you offer any assistance please? Ther has been accidents people parking on blind bends across the whole of the footpaths its is causing arguments between residents people parking on the humps in the road which has chevrons people parking on my garden etc? what can be done here?

Grit bin lid missing, 26th February

4 abandoned vehicles, 5th February
4 Abandoned Vechicles on Church Street Shiney Row near St Johns Evangelical Church . To cars one has a bent axle at front one has been there at least six months an untaxed van silver in use and a rusty eyesore of a van a Mercedes.

The street light on the main pavement beside my property has been unlit for several weeks., 30th December
Other lights out from same incident have been repaired and light up. Mine is still out and it is very dark at night. It needs to be done as carers come to my home and they are at risk in the dark.

Health and safety issues, 26th November
Lighting in the street has been out for over 2 weeks which is a health and safety issue due to the area having elderly people and people with disabilities living here and unable to see due to the early dark nights and no street lighting
