Litter on side of slip road, 26th February
Large amounts of litter build up. I just do not understand why the highways patrols that drive down here daily don't pick it up. They do on the A19, it is an on slip with huge hard shoulder. It is such a mess; along the road, in the bushes and along the hedges - all on highways land! A little bit of joined up thinking would go a long way!

J62 Northbound, 10th February
J62 northbound. Going National Speed Limit and drove over something like debris or large litter. Did not cause damage but was loud enough to think we popped a tire. May cause an accident.

Traffic cones left on roundabout, 27th January
I reported around 10 cones to Durham County Council that have been in situ for around 3-4 months. They responded that they were left from roadworks completed by the highways agency and I would need to report it. Slightly bemused why DCC couldn't report it themselves, but anyhow.....are you able to collect?

Potholes x2, 12th October
Two potholes on road at Carrville Interchange Roundabout. The potholes are just where you have to stop before going on to the roundabout - travelling from Sunderland towards Durham City. I reported to Durham County Council and was informed it did not come under their remit.

Broken Fence and overgrown weeds, 13th August
I am Cllr Christine Fletcher and also a Parish Councillor for Belmont Parish Council.
The fence for the footpath alongside the A690/A1 is broken and is in need of repair. It is missing some wooden slats. It is opposite houses in Carrsway, Carrville, Durham DH1 1BB
The grass area in the corner between the perimeter and the fence and footpath is overgrown and needs strimming.
Please can you action this for us?

Extending Lanes towards the roundabout 400 meters heading towards roundabout, 25th June
So when I heading towards the roundabout there is always queues on the morning and I know Durham is a busy town at certain times so that's why the lanes needs extending 400 meters heading towards the roundabout, and do some lane changes to add get in lane signs to help guide around Carrville Interchange.

Usual litter grot spot - driven past daily by Highways Agency staff from depot, 5th June
Hi, The on and off slips here attract a lot of litter due to the lights - mainly the on slip north bound. The lorries and vans park here and tip out their stuff. The Highways Agency drivers from the depot that pass here daily could pick it up!
