Broken stile and dangerous barbed wire, 1st June
On Saturday 15 May 2021, a walker with a MoonWalk group slipped and fell on this stile, which is in very poor condition, and badly injured her arm on the exposed barbed wire, requiring a visit to A&E and stitches. It is noted that the gate is tied shut, despite this being a Restricted Byway. Please would the Footpaths Team and landowner repair the stile and at the very least re-route the barbed wire behind the post and tidy it up.

Serious potholes/road deterioration, 16th April
The potholes/deteriorating road, between Milborne Wick and Charlton Horethorne, is in an area which frequently floods. It is on a narrow lane, as can be seen in the attached photograph, which is used by heavy farm vehicles (muck spreaders, etc). I have reported this area before. It has been repaired, but because of the flooding, the repairs never last long. If the water could simply be diverted into a functional drain, this may alleviate part of the problem. To be effective, the repair would include a good distance, either side of the area shown in the photo and the full width of the road, and not simply entail filling in the holes.

13 or more Potholes, 20th April
From Waterloo Cottages at the Charlton Horethorne end of the lane to Milborne Wick at the southern end, there are many potholes, of which the thirteen worst ones are shown in the attached photograph collage. The collage also shows the primary cause of the majority of potholes in country lanes - grossly over-sized farm machinery. The subject potholes have existed for several months; some were poorly repaired in either 2013 or 2014, but have since deteriorated again.

20+ potholes and other road damage, 18th February
From the point marked on the map to the junction with the A357 at Lattiford, there are 20 or more serious potholes and other roadside 'ditches' immediately adjacent to the tarmac road surface.
It is obvious that several of the potholes are where previous potholes have been filled with material that is not fit for purpose, i.e. it's just no good for the job of standing up to the wear and tear of normal, everday traffic.
