The pothole is huge and not visible when the weather conditions are bad or in the dark. I have hit it in my car during torrential rain and my husband has also hit it. If cars are parked on the left hand side of the road it cannot be avoided. URGENT REPAIR IS NEEDED. It has been getting bigger and bigger over time.

Double Parking, 3rd September
The number of cars parked on Badbury drive seems to be increasing on a daily basis. Cars are being parked on both sides of the road making it very difficult to get through. This evening I struggled to get through 2 cars that were parked either side of the road. A fire engine or ambulance would definitely not get through. I believe this to be a serious problem.

Cars Parked Both Sides Of Road, 20th August
Cars have been parking here before, and never an issue, but recently more and more cars are parking here, on both sides of the road, leaving a tiny gap to get through, and it doesn’t help when cars coming the other way have nowhere to pull over to let you through.

Lack of work on new paving, 28th September
Blandford Paving works,
Enough is enough! When can we expect to see the end of the current pitiful efforts and some real work done ?
I have witnessed first hand now for several days and over the past few weeks the very real lack of genuine work being done to replace these new slabs. I reported recently that one day the four man crew had down-tools before 10.00 am calling out that they were ‘going to lunch’? Yesterday I passed at 3.40pm and not a soul in sight… again….packed up and gone home. I have occasion to walk past most days and rarely see more than two of the four actually working. There is actually one individual whom I have yet to see do as much as pick up a brush, let alone do any work. The same guy, stands leaning on the plastic barriers and watches and talks. This is actual fact and is without exaggeration. I have had to kerb the urge to go and remonstrate with him personally.
The two lengths of paving that have been done, ( but not fully completed ) in West Street and by the Church Wall are approx. only 50 metres in total. Woefully inadequate. There remains the other side of West street, all along East Street and the whole of the Market place and Salisbury Street yet to do. At this rate it will take years to finish. Having been connected with the building trade for many years, I know many local individual contractors and self employed, who can easily lay 60 – 80 slabs in day. The ‘Gang of Four’ seem only to manage about 20 ??? Is there no official in charge or someone checking the work rate. ?
I have also as yet to understand why West Street was closed off when they started by the Church and now they have left the Church Wall section and gone to West Street, causing much upheaval for the buses and their passengers, let alone other traffic.
This current ‘gang’ really are taking the ‘pxxx’, sorry ; ‘the Mickey’. It is an insult to the people funding the project and Blandford cannot be expected to put up with the inconvenience for much longer without serious progress being made.
