Faded (very) White Lines at this junction, 30th May
I was travelling from Okeford on North Street and at this junction I was nearly hit by a vehicle approaching the from Hawthorn Farm Road. The driver performed an emergency stop and was some what surprised as they hadn't realised it was aGive Way from there approach. The Give Way white lines are extremely poor at this junction, but probably not as poor as the DCC white line policy requires them to be before they are refreshed. I would be grateful if someone could take a look and get back to me with regard to this issue ... I might need it in the future for an Insurance Claim after todays litle adventure. Thanks

Blocked/faulty drain causing flooding across full width of road, 17th February
The River Winterbourne is flowing down the road because tractors have ruined the riverbank 150 yards upstream (Ref: 1142371). This drain is at the lowest point opposite The Village Hall and is not working as well as it should to get the river off the road. My 400 year old cob house is lower than the road and not all of the traffic is slowing down - splashing the front of my earthen cob walls which are saturated.

X969 GEL abandoned on wrong side of road at blind junction with driveway of Old Orchard meaning school kids will have to walk into oncoming traffic in middle of the road when the school bus drops off this afternoon, 1st November
The unlit vehicle has been abandoned sometime between midnight and 07:30 on November 1st 2016, it's on the wrong side of the road facing oncoming traffic at a busy junction outside Old Orchard (DT11 0NB). The car is forcing traffic approaching Winterborne Stickland from Blandford to come out of the road junction on the wrong side of the road against oncoming traffic. Since 8am this morning there have already been two near misses. It's going to be worse later when the school bus drops off and kids will be forced to walk in the road on the wrong side into oncoming traffic. So far the Home Help/Community nurse has managed to get into Old Orchard to look after my neighbour at Old Orchard, but it will be a different story if an ambulance is required for example. I contacted the Police to report the vehicle and they advise it is of no interest to them as it's taxed/MOT'd and not been reported stolen. Dorset Police referred me to my local authority on 01202 454111 which proved to be an unobtainable number (!) hence me finding this website and reporting here myself.
