Portable Toilet is Full - Please Empty and Remove, 7th April

Sun, 07 Apr 2024 10:42:21 +0100
52.974951 -1.310919

The portable toilet was installed 2 week ago by the pedestrian crossing, and while it has been well used by those walking home from a night out on the town (saving many a front garden/tree on Lord Haddon from being urinated on), it is now full and stinks. It's also become a collection/drop off point for drugs dealing. Tried telephoning owners number printed on it, but only the original customer can request it be collected.

Food Waste / High Rat Numbers / Vermin Problems., 12th February

Mon, 12 Feb 2024 10:37:05 +0000
52.975441 -1.310005

A large number of brown rats (30 to 40) at anyone time visable in daylight can be seen from properties over looking the Pelham Avenue / Poplar Inn development in Ilkeston. It appears the development is continuning but food waste from those living/working on the development is not being removed, leading to an explosion in rat population. While a few rats would be expected in any area, to see 30 plus at anyone time in the open in a problem. The builders need to control the waste, and reduce the rat population to an acceptable level.

Road used as public car park, 13th January

Sat, 13 Jan 2024 10:47:32 +0000
52.994024 -1.321785

The Copse in ilkeston is increasingly and continuingly being used as a public car park. This is forcing the entrance to the road to be reduced to single lane traffic and is subsequently forcing residents to exit the road on the wrong side. There have been a number of near misses as the corner is blind for traffic turning left into the road and cars can be speedy when not a resident as are exiting a 40 mph road. The parking extends down from the main road, which is a fast road of 40 mph. The parking is especially present on weekends and evenings and has at times blocked rear access to properties. The increased parking is also a concern regarding access for emergency vehicles and bin lorries. This issue is a long standing issue, can double yellow lines be considered as a priority?
