Hole so deep that it’s had a cone placed in it and it’s been there for about 3 months or more.

Give way line markings missing, 13th September
The highway was resurfaced nearly 2 years ago, the give way white line markings have not been replaced allowing vehicles to act dangerously at this junction by not giving way and continuing around a blind bend causing several near misses and is an accident waiting to happen, I have nearly been a victim of this due to the line markings not being replaced after resufacing work took place.

Large amount of mud on road causing the surface on the bends to be extremely treacherous, a danger to motorists, cyclists and lethal to motorcyclists

Half of the pavement next to the busy 50 mph main road is covered in grass, weeds and soil, 4th July
The problem has worsened over many years. Cars and lorries come within inches of pedestrians on the blind corner. It is the only route for walkers between public footpath to Bakewell on the corner and paths leading from Longstone bridge and the Monsal Trail.

Storm drain blocked, 7th June
This storm drain appears to contain a lot of soil/debris. Its only fairly recently that a new cover has been added. It looks like it needs digging out.

Bench frame broken at Monsal Head car park, 21st May
Public bench defect at the viewing point grassed area alongside the main upper car park. Bench frame is defective - joint is broken at one end. Timber joint is cracked and broken, causing the seat to be twisted and deformed. Seat is weakened and could fail when fully occupied and loaded. No sign of malicious damage, unless the seat was deliberately overloaded.

Blocked surface water drain, 11th February
The drain has been blocked for some time meaning the water has to drain down to the corner resulting in standing water and ice. Thank you.

Parking on pavement, 1st August
Pavement been used as parking for residential property, the car is completely on the pavement blocking any pedestrian access. Also on blind corner with additional cars parked half on the road making it dangerous For any cars coming round the corner. House under new ownership and it has been a problem every since the new owners have bought the house. Last cottage directly opposite the Mires Lane junction

Drain blocked. Needs jetting from 2m in according to drainage cleaners who came last week, 30th May
Drainage contractors came last week. They cleaned but said it was reported in 2018 but still blocked about 2m in from surface. When it rains water coming down the hill doesn’t Therefore drain away and ends up pooling massively at the bottom of the hill

Substantial fallen tree branch, 12th March
A substantial branch has broken off a tree on the right hand side of Longreave Lane on the downhill approach to the bridge - covering approximately half the width of the lane. First noted at 8.30 am.this morning 12/3/20. Not sure if it has been reported but could cause a problem particularly at night.
