Huge pothole, several feet long. Too large to drive through. Cyclists would not fare any better. Drivers have to use wrong side of road to avoid it. Can be dangerous as a farm entrance is on opposite side. Been like this for a couple of months.

Poor parking, 12th March
I don't believe people should be able to park here. The council should rethink the double yellows. There is parking on the other side of the road which is perfectly adequate. This is a very busy road with many lorries. The parking causes obstruction, and it is difficult to see around the cars travelling up towards the main road. There is also an entrance /exit to the park right in front of where these cars are parking. This is a danger to our children.

Zip-wire chained up, 22nd April
This has been either chained up with a padlock for just over a year due to the original covid-19 lockdown. Now DDDC are involved with the upkeep of the park, please can you release the padlock & chain and make safe the play equipment.

Traffic light not working, 19th February
The traffic lights outside the chip shop at Darley Dale. (A6). When driving from Matlock, the green light (on the lighting housing furthest away from chip shop), does not light up.

Dip in road over railway bridge getting much worse recently, 19th October
I use this road very often and have noticed that the dip in the road as you approach the bridge from the east side has got much more pronounced over the last year or so. It is now prudent to slow down. Could Bridge be failing?

Continual flooding in heavy rain, 18th June
First reported flooding approximately a year ago and have chased up since but have not been contacted yet. Every time we have heavy rain the road water from a road opposite (Whitworth Road) overwhelms the drains, even if they’re not blocked, and jumps the gutter and runs like a river straight down the side of the house and floods my cellar. I use sandbags but they only hold back so much and as I have severe arthritis it is extremely difficult, and often impossible, for me to manoeuvre them into position, and I live alone! I am now looking into trying to get 2 floodgates installed at considerable expense. Again last night I was outside in torrential rain trying to stop the barrage of water but was not able to stop it all. Vehicles traveling along the A6 show little or no concern for property or pedestrians and I was repeatedly soaked by ‘waves’ well over my head whilst attempting to move the sandbags. I am one very fed up resident!!
