Trench from gas main collapsing, 3rd February
A gas main was installed from Mercia Park to Ashby about two years ago. Sections of it along the A444 are subsiding. The trench is in line with the nearside wheels on vehicles which affects the steering.

Dangerous large tree branch overhanging carriageway., 24th April
A very large tree branch has cracked and is leaning on adjacent telephone/fibre overhead cables. There is a danger it will drop into the live carriageway (Austrey Lane) when it falls. This could cause serious injury or death to highway users. The tree in question is adjacent to wooden telephony pole on Austrey lane marked number 9.

25 cm. diameter pothole, with edge about 20 cm. from side of lane, 9th March
This pothole is the result of an earlier repair breaking up & is now a serious 'shock' to car & occupants when it is hit. It is almost at the lane nearside edge when driving down to Chilcote & difficult to avoid. I do wonder if this was cause of puncture & replacement tyre that my wife suffered 2 weeks ago.

A sizeable pothole on Moneyhill Farm side of the road, 21st December
This pothole has been unfilled for several weeks, mostly we have steered around it. It is now filled with water & thus not visible. Yesterday we hit it 'square with the front nearside wheel, the suspension 'bottomed' & I wondered if the tyre had been ruined: However it seems still OK.

Dense hedging at the junction of Church Lane and ashby/tamworth B main road., 22nd October
When entering the main road at the junction with church lane it is impossible to pull out without the risk of a serious traffic accident occurring.The very high and dense overgrown hedge at the dwelling there is making it impossible to safely emerge into the main road.This problem has grown a lot worse over the last 3 years.

There is a blocked horizontal road drain outside my property, Harwood Cottage Austrey Lane, No Man's Heath,, 15th September
This drain that has never, to my knowledge, been cleared by WCC Highways. I have lived here for 21 years and have kept it clear. The drain is now blocked and causing excess water running down the road. The photo attached shows the drain that is in urgent need of clearing.

Road sign damage to back lane and also on the main road in No Mans Heath at the turning for Ash Lane, 21st June
Both signs appear to have been damaged by large vehicles. The Back lane sign has been virtually pulled out and the sign on the main road has been bent and is only hanging on by 1 bracket.

Pathway opening up ,reported March 2018, 15th February
Path is parting ,previously reported March 2018, assessments have been done ,I have seen the inspector, visit site couple time through the year.
