Footpath signage and dog fouling signage, 29th March

Wed, 29 Mar 2023 13:14:01 +0100
54.315148 -1.81919

There is a much used public footpath across the pastures at this corner of Dale Grove. It is unclear to some users that the path goes straight ahead. It would help if the signage was upgraded. As it is a public footpath not sure about the law regarding dog fouling. Many people are very good and pick up but there is an increasing number who do not. Whilst there are no beasts out there at the moment the faeces left wash into the ground and the bacteria can remain with health risk to animals and people. An upgrade on the footpath signage and dog fouling could help.

There is a stretch of road that has been dealt with by the 'dot and dab' method . Hopefully the decision will be made to fix it by doing a full stretch. Making more notifications a thing of the past, and probably making it a bit cheaper! Thank you .

Drivers are blocking the access to my garage along the alley., 1st July

Fri, 01 Jul 2022 17:45:46 +0100
54.315225 -1.82331

Please can you help me. My drive is the one in the centre. It has a dropped kerb and the highway code says it is an offence to park blocking the dropped kerb. I am disabled and need to drive up the alley to park in my garage (up the alley and to the right). I am the only person allowed access up this alley. My access has been blocked 3 times in the last month or so. Please could you use appropriate signage to ask people not to block my access. Being disabled this is causing considerable distress having to ask people to move. The problem has occurred infrequently over the last few years, however it has now begun happening more often. Thank you for your help.

Eleven street lghts not workng, 13th November

Sat, 13 Nov 2021 00:39:43 +0000
54.311923 -1.82851

New "motorway style" street lights were installed last year along this road. Local residents say these have not yet been connected to the "mains". The footpaths are used by dozens of people walking, in almost pitch dark, early morning and evening to and from the housing estates adjoining Richmond Road. This problem has been repeatedly reported to the appropriate authorities who are ignoring the problem.

Footpaths are filthy., 20th February

Sat, 20 Feb 2021 10:49:34 +0000
54.309695 -1.830836

The footpaths around Leyburn are in a disgusting state. I know that some of it is to do with winter but there hasn't been visible any street cleaning done for months if not a couple of years. Towns such as Leyburn rely on tourism income to keep things going, as it is I wouldn't want to stop here and spend time. Come on RDC, your remit doesn't start and stop at Richmond.

The road surface outside the police station is starting to break up with large chippings from the road surface been thrown around. One hit me while I walking on the footpath opposite the police station. It really could do with sweeping up at least. Resurfacing would be good as well.
