A684 The Holme Hawes - Blocked Drain, 21st March
The drains located at the top of The Holme in Hawes are completely full of surplus/leftover bitumen from the recent works completed by Tarmac. The road was resurfaced earlier this week by Tarmac and they have left the drains full of bitumen. These need to be cleared before the next rain to avoid flooding.

Road sinking, 10th November
Road sinking in more than one place in this location and has been like this for around two years at least. Problem is getting worse and vehicles are having to engage a lower gear to navigate without damaging vehicle

Abandoned vehicle partially blocking junction, 4th November
There's a vehicle that was abandoned by on Sunday in the floods still there partially blocking the junction. As well as it being in the way is it a possible welfare issue?

Road surface disintegrating, 23rd July
The road surface at this junction has been deteriorating for a couple of years. This has previously been reported and inspected by Highways Dept but was not considered within their ,then, current criteria for action. It is now much worse and getting worse week by week. The junction is used extensively and is now a danger to cyclists, (myself), and motorists.

Rapidly deteriorating, 7th September
At the junction with Shaws Lane the top surface has broken down leaving a scree over a large area. This junction is used constantly by tractors and cars and will soon be a major repair job.

Pothole, 18th March
Near the Auction mart and further towards town there at least two large potholes on the centre line. As cars often park on the roadside it is difficult to avoid when known, and creates a massive shock if hit unawares

Cracks have appeared in the road surface in the area of the bridge. The cracks are through the actual stones which would suggest an underlying problem.
