Back Lane mess!, 18th February
I was driving along the back lane of Victoria Embankment to try and take a short cut, and was horrified by what I saw - I have never seen such a mess in civilised society! There is rubbish strewn both sides of the back Lane - mainly split bin bags - a paradise for vermin! I can only describe it as a 'cesspit'!! I cannot believe people are paying Council Tax for this 'service' or the residents are putting up with this! I have a good mind to go to the local newspaper - but it probably wouldn't do any good - nobody seems to care these days - WELL I DO!!!

Broken road sign., 31st December
This sign for Eppleby/Caldwell/Manfield on the B6275 Barton to Piercebridge road, has slipped down on the top section and come away from one of the posts and swung round / facing the wrong way. (Could be dangerous, if it came off).

Overhanging, untidy messy trees, 16th August
Pedestrian footpath at the rear of Glebe Close.
These are blocking out a lot of light, sucking nutrients from the grass, making it difficult to grow and mossy, blowing seeds and of course, leaves everywhere!
They also cause severe moss on the footpath, (because it is dark) and could be dangerous in the winter months, due to slipping. (My husband already has his leg pinned and plated from a bad fall).
There will be loads of wet leaves soon.
The council should tidy them up, especially, the overhanging branches.

Weeds in road gutter, 16th August
There are quite a lot of weeds (up to 12" high), by no. 4 and 6 Glebe Close, Manfield DL2 2RT, since May 2015. I've already reported this to NYCC and Richmondshire DC, but nothing has been done.

Streetlights out, 12th February
The one in Glebe Close itself, went out at midnight, (is this correct? I would feel safer, if it was on, as I sometimes take the dog out late(!) and the one on the path at the rear of no. 7 Glebe Close was damaged in recent storms and maybe no one has reported it broken.
There are also three lights out on the main road at the beginning of Manfield. They are on the LHS, coming from the A1, Piercebridge Road. They do not appear to have numbers on them; (they look quite old with boxes on telegraph poles)!
Thank you for your kind attention, regarding these; I am willing to provide more details, if required.

Overgrown Verge, 9th August
Travelling from Manfield to Piercebridge and trying to turn right onto the B 6275 is very difficult as the overgrown verge on the northeast corner of this junction makes it very hard to see southbound traffic. Please cut the grass asap.
