Dangerous Mud on Cyclepath, 12th January
There is a large area of deep mud crossing the entire width of the railway path between Bishop Auckland and Hunwick Station (about 1/3 mile from Hunwick Station). In the previous week it has deteriorated from being just a shallow muddy patch on the path that you could walk/ride through to being so deep that my bicycle stopped dead causing me to fall off.

Lay-by "unofficially" closed, 24th July
The lay-by next to Low Side has been closed for a few weeks. It has some old cones and sign saying "lay-by closed" but the sign is not an official sign. It appears to be a sign created possibly by a local.
There doesn't appear to be any reason for the closure.
