At the top of the steps on the Witton Le Wear side before you cross the railway line, There are 3 railway sleepers situated at top of steps. The wasps nest in in among the sleepers and it needs removed due to being on a popular village walk.

Pavement destroyed, 19th September
The Pavement at Carr's Terrace has been destroyed by workmen from a company called Freedom working on behalf of Northern Electric. They have patched up areas after work but because of heavy machinery used, they have damaged large patches of the remainder which has left it uneven and dangerous to the Public

Overhanging trees and bushes, 10th June
On Clemmy Bank footpath there are overhanging bushes and trees on both Council ( Childrens Play park ) and Private Property ( Woodlands House ) forcing both school children (Meeting Barnard Castle School Bus) and adults to walk on the road. This corner, Clemmy Bank and High street is extremely Dangerous especially in the mornings with drivers driving at excessive speed through the village. Someone will be hurt as it's an accident waiting to happen

Uneven Pavement worn away tarmac, 27th February
At Carr's Terrace there is a large pot hole in the tarmac on the pavement which has been there since the flooding in January. The rest of the pavement is extremely worn also due to frost and water damage.

Going down Clemmy bank towards the Railway viaduct on the left hand side pavement overhanging trees and bushes mean that you cannot walk on pavement and you have to walk on the road.The cars traveling down Clemmy Bank do so at a very fast speed making walking on the road extremely dangerous
