The sign on the west bound carriageway of the A66 at Greta Bridge has been twisted to direct traffic through the hamlet of Greta bridge rather than along the A66 itself in order to reach locations further west along the A66 including Brough Drivers unfamiliar with the local roads will potentially use small local roads instead of the A66 causing hold ups and dangerous conditions on single track roads

Overgrown verges at Junctions of A66 with Barnard Castle, Greta Bridge and Smallways juctions, 13th June
The verges and central reservations have all grow so high as to make to already limited sight lines dangerously obscured. I have observed this problem on Thursday 10th, Friday 11th and Sunday 12 June. I was seriously concerned for my safety and that of other road users too. Please arrange for all these areas to be cut back as a matter of extreme priority. Thank you

Sound barrier fence blown down, 17th February
We live at on the side of the A66. As part of the accommodation works, when that stretch of the road was changed into dual carriageway 2004 - 2007, a sound barrier fence was installed outside our house between the garden and the A66. The fence was built on highways land just beyond our garden boundary. During the recent storm on the 29th January the whole fence blew down and is now laying on the side of the A66. The wind took hold of the lower edge and it was a domino effect - 165ft of fence was damaged. Please could you direct us to the correct channels or organise for someone to come and assess the situation.

Bright security light affecting road users, 19th August
There's a security light in the rear yard of this property that shines into the eyes of road users travelling Eastbound on the A66 and is very distracting. The light needs to be re-aligned to shine down and, if necessary, be provided with a means to restrict the glare.
