Potholes., 27th February
Front Street in front of my shop and home has been patches three times and every time it wears away very quickly with the volume of traffic. It’s about time you did a permanent job on this road don’t you think? Like what you did on London Road in Carlisle? What do we pay road tax for?

Numerous potholes., 14th December
There are a number of deep, longish potholes in front of my shop on the roadside (Berti’s Fish & Chips) 3 Lorne Terrace, Brampton and also in the middle of the road further along between Brampton Tandoori & Capon Tree Cafe. These are major trip hazards, dangers to cars. I nearly fell backwards into the road whilst sweeping up outside my shop earlier. They have been present for two years at least.

Dangerous Pothole, 17th November
Dangerous and deep pothole on the Brampton bypass, the entrance to the roundabout on A689 (what 3 words ///misted.gasp.spindles). Cannot describe the exact depth due to the road being a busy road with no time to measure - though it was deep enough to cause serious damage. On this roundabout most drivers would be looking over their shoulder for a safe entrance - rather than looking on the road for potholes. As a result the pothole can be hit (and was hit!), to a significant depth - which could cause damage on cars (mine included - currently in for repair for axel and brake pads misaligned).

Dayburning Lamp, 8th February
Lampost attached to the police station on Longtown Road, Brampton is Dayburning.
Lamp is a Sox fitting that has been retrofitted with an led lamp. It still seems to retain the old two part photocell that is probably not suited to the capacative load that is created by LED lamps. It might be worth bearing this in mind when retrofitting similar lamps and changing the cell to a modern type at the same time to avoid revisitation to converted dayburners. It may be worth bringing this to the attention of the lighting engineer. It's easily overlooked that can end up costing a few Bob.
