Collapsed drain, 6th January
Drain across the road has collapsed resulting in permanent surface water. This freezes in cold weather resulting in black ice for some distance in both directions.

Potholes and ruts, 23rd July
The lower section of the Gilcrux to Tallentire back road (sometimes known as the hill road) where it meets the main road through Gilcrux is very badly potholed and rutted. Some of the holes and ruts are 5" deep and through the upper road surface.
