Very poor roadwork layout/visibility of lane closure, 26th January
Tonight lanes two and three closed with lane one moving onto hard shoulder. Cones were not lit and dirty resulting in cone sleeve light reflection being non existant. Also cones in temp closure are all iver the place and many have been hit. At end of hard shoulder use there is no direction back onto main carriageway just the temporary cones between hard shoulder and lane one end. Very dangerous setup and have bever seen anything like this. This is part of the roadworks to replace the central reservation barrier.

Positioning of illegal moveable advertising boards, 1st August
A large temporary pyramid style bill board has been placed on the west bound side of the A689 with the roundabout at Linstock leading to the B624. The roundabout is a current problem area due to the level of traffic failing to give way adequately, to joining traffic. The advertising bill board is a distraction and its position is hazardous as it obstructs clear vision approaching from Carlisle on the B624. It does not appear to have approval for the positioning of the site!

Speed limit sign location, 26th September
I would like the 30/national speed limit sign to be moved further from the village. My road end (Primrose bank, CA6 4QT), had the 30mph speed limit sign right at the entrance. My young children 7/10 both cross this road to use the children's play park at the village hall. Cars leaving the village pass my house already accelerating down the straight road as though it's a drag racing strip. Cars entering coming down the straight towards the village don't allow down until the sign. Consequently, I feel it is extremely image for my children to cross the road alone. I feel if the sign was moved 50/100m further down the road, cars would be more likely to pass at a reasonable speed. Even if the whole road from the A689 to the village was a 30mph zone wood be great.
