Junction visibility fully obstructed by temporary road sign, 14th November
A large temporary traffic sign associated with the current A66 re-surfacing works has been erected on the corner of the Bolton junction on the A66, it is on the eastbound verge on the Appleby side of the junction.
The large size of this temporary sign is fully obstructing visibility of A66 traffic (particularly fast flowing A66 eastbound traffic) to traffic emerging from the Bolton junction [it is in the verge where the junction visibility splay crosses the verge].
As a result of the visibility impacts traffic emerging from the Bolton junction has to encroach into the fast flowing A66 eastbound carriageway increasing risk of collision.
The temporary sign needs to be relocated away from the junction and its visibility splays to reinstate visibility around the junction, particularly traffic emerging from Bolton onto the A66.

This is a dangerous location as it pushes vehicles into the middle of the road into oncoming traffic, in order to avoid the deep pothole. The oncoming traffic cannot see the hazard and there is a significant chance of a head on crash between vehicles on a blind bend under the railway bridge.

Road signage causing an obstruction, 3rd July
There is road closed signage at the junction from the A66 to Bolton village , when turning left into the road end it is very difficult to get round the signage as traffic is often queuing to get onto the A66 , this is causing queuing from the A66 into the junction I feel this could well cause a serious traffic collusion , there is access to the village . Would the sign be better actually on the verge on the A66 before the junction so as not to obscure the road ends
