Significant pothole on M6 Northbound just north of J39 (Shap), 22nd January
There is a large pothole on the RHS of lane one, M6 Northbound at W3W location kicks.insolvent.encrusted
M6 is currently down to two lanes at this location (lane one closed for roadworks), so this is effectively lane one
I hit this pothole yesterday (21 January 2024) and it may have caused damage to my wheels (will be checked).
I have dashcam footage of me hitting it as well as footage the following day of an HGV hitting it and the hole does not appear to be recent, it is well-established.

Stone chippings, 6th June
The road from Shap, to Crosby Ravensworth, has been left in a disgracefully dangerous condition after surface dressing. The chippings are now spilling out onto the A6, making it dangerous not only on the A6 but along the footpaths boarding the road.

Reoccurring pothole, 29th October
Pothole opened up again this week, due to cars parked on opposite side can't be driven around. Is getting bigger in length and depth every day. Longer than a dinner plate. Too dark to take pictures tonight, can send if needed

Road work debris/litter, 13th July
Please ask your road mending crews to leave no debris behind. I am finding the old bags used to weigh down road signs in Force Beck on Waters Farm, Shap. These bags once the sand has gone and they start to break down are highly polluting being made from plastic and shredding easily. There is also plenty of plastic wrappers from the public but hey some humans are impossible to teach. Thank you

Road littered with large 'quarry type' stone chippings, 2nd April
The A6, from the junction with the B6261 all the way into Shap village, is littered with large 'quarry type' stone chippings. These are large enough to be potentially dangerous to pedestrians and could easily smash car windscreens.
