Lane between houses, 22nd April
Our 2 streets were part of a pilot scheme to install back gardens for all residents on the Marlas estate in North Cornelly. Since then the maintenance lane hasn't been maintained like promised by V2C, as residents we have tried to contact v2c to have the lane cleaned and the gate at the end fixed but we are stuck in a loop of it is not their responsibility and is it there land, contact BCBC, we do and they say its V2c Property. In light of this as a resident, we have pulled out documents to prove that it's v2c. Even with documents to prove it's their land they still want nothing to do with it.
I have spoken to Cornelly Community Councillor Lisa Pritchard who has given me your email address with the hopes we can resolve this issue promptly due to the increased presence of rats in the gardens which is a health and safety risk that is what we as residents have explained to both v2c and BCBC. Between the 2 streets, there are many houses with small children and babies. As we approach the summer we would like to be able to use our gardens without risk of our children coming into contact with a rat.
