Sea weed on steps, 21st July
The steps to the beach opposite Kings Avenue, are covered in Sea Weed which is very slippery and dangerous, also the smell is awful.

Wide deep pot hole and 2 others, 24th March
A wide, deep pot hole plus 2 others need repair. they are by the opposite corner to the one recently marked for repair in shakespeare road. 2 pot holes nearby, at top of gainsboro road were marked yesterday . Suprised my ones were not also marked yesterday this bit of road is is covered with lots of loose pebbles from the holes which makes it difficult for walking for someone like me with MS ( about 1/3rd the speed of others and bad balance so it is risky.) hopefully all this work can be done at same time please also clear all the loose pebbles thank you there are also several other big pot holes by the pavement but i am not reporting them.

Terrapin riding dead fox, 4th February
Earlier a group of wild terrapins dragged a poor fox into the sea and savagely drowned it, now the lead terrapin that we have locally dubbed “Big George” is now riding around on the foxes rotting carcass

Faulty Christmas lights attached to kcc lights, 27th September
Station road. All Christmas lights are working / on. Some are damaged and have their rope lights hanging off. Most are broken and don’t work fully. These are all faulty and need disconnecting and removing due to electrical faults with them. None of the columns have plug sockets and they seem hard wired in.
I have attempted to contact birchington council - no joy! I’ve reported on your website and not heard back!

2 foot area of potholes in centre of Grenham Road opposite number 25 and 14, 5th April
The pothole has been there for about a year and seems to be spreading. Please also check curb side about 5m towards Birchington where tarmac is coming away.

Street light replacement works not finished, 5th April
Minnis rd HMCM001 Column has been replaced and base of old column is STILL there. It looks rusty and is an eye sore! Please remove or if feeder pillar replace with a new feeder pillar looks unsightly

Trip hazard, 4th November
The wooden bench at the junction of Beach Avenue and Berkeley Road Birchington has been removed, uncertain why or by who!! The problem is that one of the brackets that bolted it to the ground is still there and is now a trip hazard.

Parking on yellow lines obstruction of emergency vehicle access, 6th July
The double yellow lines in Mill Lane/Mill Row Birchington were put there some years ago when a fire engine could not reach a house on fire because of resident's parking. Many current residents are unaware of this and now regularly park across them, possibly because they are now so faint. Many delivery vehicles struggle to gain access because of one particular car parked at the junction of Mill Lane/Mill Row. We have never seen a parking attendant around here. Please could we have the yellow lines renewed and some enforcement of them before there is another tragedy.
