FIXMYSTREET IN CT1 3NN
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CT1 3NN:
Broken road surface with many ruts and other defects easily bad enough to catch a bicycle wheel, 30th April
I reported this last autumn, but nothing has been done. An approximately 100 metre stretch of road with a broken road surface and many deep ruts that threaten to catch a bicycle wheel and cause a crash. It is under some trees so shaded and hard to see the hazards at times, especially on sunny days bizarrely as your eyes do not have time to adjust when suddenly plunged into shade when heading towards Canterbury. I try to avoid this road, but when I have to cycle along it I have to move almost to the centre and weave around all the hazards, and I am constantly concerned that this will annoy any drivers behind me or cause them to overtake without being able to leave a safe distance.

Pothole in the Canterbury bound lane just before width restrictors, 30th April
This pothole has been here for some time. It is situated a few metres before the minor width restrictors just where you should be moving to take primary position. Unfortunately if the weather is gloomy, as the road is tree-lined, or if you are focused on the pavement that encroaches into the road just ahead, it is all too easy not to see it. Yesterday I did hit it, and was very fortunate not to crash. Fortunately I have tubeless tyres on my bicycle which are far more resistant to pinch punctures

Residential streets can't handle the diverted traffic., 26th October
The volume of traffic currently being diverted from Wincheap as a result of the current gas works that began yesterday is too heavy for these residential streets. People working at the hospital have reported that it is impeding ambulances. It's particularly bad at the junction of Norman and Nunnery/Oxford Roads so I've put the report location there, but the whole area South-East of Wincheap is affected.

Norman Road, South Canterbury Road and others are gridlocked as there are roadworks on Wincheap/A28. Hospital buses are being prevented from reaching the hospital. Roads have become unsafe, people shouting at each other as it’s all backed up. This needs to be sorted out immediately. A one-way system would be helpful.
