Dangerous pothole, 21st February
Very deep pothole, previously reported but still not fixed. This pothole is causing dangerous avoidance tactics at this busy roundabout where the lanes also merge right in the exit. Industrial estate traffic pours onto this roundabout, merging at the same time as avoiding the hole is very dangerous. Pothole is deep enough to cause serious damage to vehicles.

Dangerous Junction -Looks like a corner, 13th December
This junction is notorious locally for drivers not observing it when approaching from the Whitemoor towards Colehill direction. There have been two crashes this month alone that I have seen and I only go past this once a day so no doubt there have been more. I have seen people drive straight over it in front of me on other occasions. If you look at the attached photo can I suggest the issue is that if you are not familiar or paying attention, this crossroads looks more like a left hand bend but you are already looking across the junction. The red hedge on the right of the image is the same height as the green hedge over the junction but can be mistaken for one length of hedge. the road bends left it tricks the eye. Also, the Give Way 50yrds sign which you have just passed at this point is always well overgrown in the summer by the hedgerow it's mounted in. In this instance, the first information you have of Giving Way is the sign you can see here which is too late as you are already about to drive straight over. This needs a STOP sign either side of the road in both directions and maybe slow down lines across. Someone is going to get seriously hurt soon.

Poorly marked junction, 30th November
This junction is known for drivers not stopping and going straight over, particularly when travelling towards Colehill. Although there are Give Way road signs, they are placed very close to the junction itself and with the almost invisible road markings it would appear drivers do not appreciate how close to the junction they are before it is too late. (Another crash just this week) The road markings and need repainting and maybe a STOP sign?

The old lights were efficient. the new lights are inefficient., 21st September
With the lovely new T junction [with closed cycle lane crossing still incomplete 2 months after workers left it]
We now have the lights on timer control. not sensor control like the old lights had.
I thought we were sold that being sensor controlled meant that they are more efficient for both keeping vehicles moving e.g. if no vehicles waiting, then that junction is red and it will be green for a junction that has vehicles waiting. instead of timer and causing traffic to stop or be waiting and watching an empty junction with a green light.
Instead the inefficiencies mean vehicles idling for 2-3 minutes engines running [not all have auto start-stop] and queues generated due to having watch an empty lane on a daily basis have a green light.
Fundamentally, an upgrade for cyclists. but a downgrade for vehicles and the environment with more queues and idling engines.

Bad diversion being ignored, 15th September
The new diversion and closure signs don't work. Closure signs being missed and satnav (waze) gives a quicker diversion through quiet residential roads. Cars and huge lorries are still getting as far as the pure drop Inn and turning around in their car park. Please look again at the signs and diversion route.
