The ginnel between Levens Drive and Hardhorn has a light at the Levens drive end that does not work making it an easy target for dog walkers to let their dog foul down this ginnel. Also for anyone walking down this ginnel with no lights on, can walk into the excrement or trip up as this area is not a flush pathway

Damaged verge, 11th April
The grass verge has been left in an appalling state by the recent Electric Board work. Their attitude toward the community throughout the repair was awful. No consideration and prolonged temporary traffic lights over Easter. This needs addressing .

Fence damage, 25th March
The fencing directly behind our bungalows is falling apart & is an eyesore. It has only been up a short while and is falling apart whereas the fencing on the rest of the bypass is better quality or concrete. Would it be possible to have a more substantial concrete noise barrier?

Kier workers asleep on the job, 21st March
There's a few useless and incompetant road workers who can't see the 2 mile queue of traffic towards Hambleton, so either they are dead, asleep, blind or absolutely inept at their job. Please send reinforcements who have eyes and some functioning brain capacity. Much obliged.

Traffic light timing is ridiculous, 21st March
You’re all inept. A simple change to traffic light sequencing could stop the two mile queue of traffic every morning across the shard bridge, but you are too inept to correct it. Prove me wrong….

Roadworks next to roadworks, 21st March
Finally, after four years, the bypass opens, yet more roadworks are being done at Shard Lane and Mains Lane, but the biggest question is there is also some more roadworks further down mans lane towards the bypass which is stopping people from getting through the first set of roadworks before you get to the new set of roadworks before you get to the bypass. Who plans this?

Timings Incorrect., 20th March
Hi. You reported earlier in the week that you expected the timings to be incorrect. I have to ask, why did you not have an attendant on site to view these timings, first thing this morning. They could have been corrected ASAP instead of what residents have had to put up with today.

Temporary traffic lights causing severe disruption, 20th March
Road works begun today at Shard lane junction with Mains Lane. By 10am the traffic was backed up significantly and causing long delays. By 11.30 they stretched into Hambleton and we’re causing chaos. We have already endured circa two years of delays on this section of road. There are no other routes for residents, the traffic lights either need altering significantly or an alternative light sequence sought. I personally think after two years of delays this is just unacceptable and needs to be dealt with immediately to avoid further delays to already very frustrated residents of Over Wyre many of whom have no choice but to use this stretch road.

Placement of road causes an obstruction of my driveway.., 1st March
The new bypass prevents me to use my driveway of 206 breckroad the distance between bypass and the footpath outside my property is 2,7metres which is not wide enough to use and reverse my vehicle safely. I have been in contact with kier who are constructing the highway, who have suggested a option for us, unfortunately this is not going to help. I would like a member of your team to do a site visit and have some form of a meeting with ourselves, as I feel we are being fobbed off!. Kind regards.

3 years of hell and now £360million worse, 23rd February
The traffic caused by this stupid bypass is only getting worse over Wyre. It has personally cost thousands in lost hours of work. Now which ever planning officer has planned the phased opening of the bypass probably needs a psychological analysis.

My small children spent over an hour stuck here., 23rd February
Lights are out of sync. Late for school on multiple occasions. Leaving an hour before school still isn't enough. What's normally a 10 minute journey is dreadful.

Unable to get onto Mains Lane due to traffic congestion, 22nd February
It took me 45 mins to get over Shard Bridge due to the traffic and the lights were only letting a few cars through at a time. Mains Lane completely backed up. It’s unacceptable

What is going on!, 22nd February
How can you get it so wrong, a teenager could model the traffic flow to understand the right lights sequence and then even as a precaution don’t you get an engineer to monitor it once changes are made!!

Need Attention, 22nd February
What an absolute horrendous journey I have to endure daily with the constant lack of concern and consideration all the people like me who live over Wyre. Traffic lights on Shard are not acceptable. We the people of Wyre have had to endure shoddy traffic light sequences, timing and failure to keep drivers safe for the last 3 years. Patience has been tested to the limits and if I hear one more time wait till the by pass is fully open one more time. Patience’s have been lost by us all. Maybe it’s time we all claimed compensation for all the inconvenience loss of earning, the list is endless.

Traffic light sequence, 22nd February
We were stuck in traffic this morning 22/02/24 it took 90 minutes to get from the shovels to the new bypass and as soon as we passed the traffic lights there we sailed through!!! No traffic on the road at all!! It is ridiculous!

Absolute disgrace., 22nd February
I feel that residents of Over Wyre have been forgotten about during the whole process of building the new bypass (which in my opinion was an unecessary waste of money). It used to take me 15-20 minutes to get to Hodgson high school in Poulton. It is now taking well over 1 hour. I work in fleetwood as a teacher, I have to set of before 7am to ensure I get to work on time. However, on the way home to Over Wyre (which would traditionally be ‘rush hour’) it takes me at most 20 minutes. I have had to stop taking my children to their extra curricular activities because I cannot get them there on time with the current state of the tracfic. There are times when the traffic is queued back well into Hambleton. In fact recently traffics was almost queued into stalmine. This is why I am asking, have National Highways given any consideration whatsoever to people who use shard bridge on a daily basis. It seems not. This issue has been ongoing for some time now and nothing seems to be getting better.
