Abandoned Car with slashed tyres and broken window, 8th January
A Red VW Golf was abandoned outside our house in Lattiford, Wincanton BA9 8AF in lay-by on the main road on Tuesday 3rd January in the middle of the night. The passenger window is smashed and there is glass all over the lay by and across our drive and our neighbours drive which is Merriment Kennels - a business. 2 off side tyres have been slashed / let down. My mother has just come out of hospital and this abandoned vehicle makes getting in and our of her drive for appointments very dangerous as the car obstructs visibility of the main road which is a fast main road.

Blocked drains in Cabbage Lane, 8th January
At least half the drains in the Lane are blocked. Especially bad is the drain, which runs under the road ,directly above Broad Oak Farm, as this is fed by a stream. The result of the blockages is continual water erosion to the road surface. At the junction with the A357 this is especially advanced.

Marsh lane, south cheriton, 26th January
Dangerous edges due to water erosion and pot holes.. This road was very recently resurfaced but the work done was totally unsatisfactory . There were more than adequate stone chips but very lttle tar to bind the surface. It is now obvious just how little and how sporadic was the tar distribution. This subcontract should not have been approved as it was substandard and the present surface can not be blamed on the weather
