At north end of Middle Street in East Harptree between Bell House & The Keep. See second photo for location., 6th January
There is large pothole that is c 3"-4" deep, 3' long, 1'wide (see first photo). It is now deep & long enough to start causing damage to wheels of drivers/cyclists that do not spot it. It is also a trip hazard for pedestrians as there is no footpath at this point of the road. There is also a second pothole very nearby (see third photo). Although shallower, this is degrading rapidly. Given its proximity it would make sense to repair at the same time.

Hedge to the East of small lane from Coley, 5th January
Travelling towards E. Harptree, Screenshot 218 shows historically same hedge at the transition between two land owners. The nearest has been kept well back from the road the further part has been allowed to grow to the road. Note also, that you cannot see what is approaching from the other direction. Screenshot 219 shows how large vehicles have had to use the verge when meeting a large vehicle coming the other way even though the hedge had been recently cut (Nov 2021) - see the cuttings at the foot of the hedge. Screenshot 220 is from above and you can clearly see how the width of the road is reduced. Our personal experience of this stretch is by car, motorhome and bicycle. Trucks and large tractors heading towards Litton are over the white line. In the motorhome, we approach this section with extreme caution, fearing most, the high speed milk tankers. On one occasion driving towards E. Harptree, a high sided truck was coming the other way and we stopped on the edge to give it maximum room. In spite of that, it stopped and reversed back to the Coley lane junction as the driver decided there was still insufficient room. On cycles, going towards Litton, we feel uncomfortable as traffic coming from behind does not see us until the last minute and there is no room for two cars and a bike. I am amazed at the instant dismissal of my concerns. If the hedge is not cut back, then the painted centre line should be removed, "SLOW" written on the road and "Road narrows" signs erected. As a very experienced road user, I believe this is the choice before someone gets hurt.
