Tree branch overhanging public footpath, 22nd March
A tree branch is hanging very low over the public footpath which runs adjacent to Street football club and the playing field behind Goss Drive. This could cause a problem if anyone was walking along the footpath particularly in the dark, to the face or eyes. It’s been like this for about a week. It would be appreciated if this could be removed please as soon as possible.

Large pot hole on the The Causeway, near Hulk Moor Drove road, 7th March
I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred on the morning of March 6, 2024. My vehicle, Tesla Model X registration number T9O DX, sustained significant damage to the driver's side front suspension due to a pothole located on The Causeway, near Hulk Moor Drove road, Street, Somerset.
The incident took place when I was driving along a section of the A39 known locally as The Causeway in the Westerly direction and encountered a pothole that, unfortunately, I could not avoid in time. As a result, my vehicle's front suspension has been damaged, necessitating repairs.
I am deeply concerned about the safety hazards posed by such potholes, not only to drivers but also to pedestrians and cyclists. It is imperative that the necessary measures are taken to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the roads to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
Given the circumstances, I intend to take my vehicle to the garage for repairs promptly. However, I must emphasise that I hold the local council liable for the costs associated with the repair of my vehicle.
I will by separate letter to the local council enclose documentation detailing the damage sustained by my vehicle as well as the estimated costs of repair from the garage.

In recent weeks the street lighting between numbers (approx) 47 and 71 The Roman Way Glastonbury has failed to operate at night. The unlit road is very dark in the winter evenings and potentially dangerous for pedestrians, particularly as this is a narrow road and the pavement is regularly partially blocked with motor vehicles causing pedestrians to walk into the unlit road..
