Sharing disabled spit to guarantee parking, 13th July
The van and the 2 vehicles behind it all share the disabled spot according to which vehicle is the last to turn up deliberately taking up 3 spaces in the street for one household and if you even think of parking directly infront or behind the disabled spots they become aggressive and demand you move the car atleast 3 metres away from either front or back lines in my opinion the disabled spot should be revoked as its not being used for its intended purposes and is just a way to try and control the parking issues on the street.

1st/2nd Avenue walkway, 21st April
This has been an issue for over 10 years this hole keeps appearing the council has been once about three years ago filled it in now it has collapsed again we are supposed to move our bins safely up and down here it’s a death trap

Damaged pavements & curbs, 2nd December
The small section of Hardy st off Park Rd, Wigan. Paving flags are cracked damaged and lifting, curbs are lifting missing or overturned. It has been like this for over 5 years. Wigan Council accept no responsibility for the road or pavement.

Hazarous roadway and footpath causing damage and injuries, 8th July
The current condition of Ashford Rise roadway and footpaths is now at a state where near misses and incidents are occurring. This is a safety hazard that is not being acknowledged, nor any controls being put in place by the local authority to reduce the risk.
The road way is abnormally uneven with re-occurring sink holes, also the roadway on the hill of Ashford rise is starting to crumble causing a loose top surface. There has been two vehicle incidents in the past three months, where vehicles have skidded on the loose surface. This is also a potential hazard to pedestrians and children in the street.
The footpaths on the street are also at a state of unevenness causing trip hazards. Recently a visitor to the street tripped and was sent to A&E with a head injury.
I understand members of street have been in communication with Wigan Council over the last 2 years, where the council had advised the remediation works would start early summer 2021. When trying to make contact with council recently they have not responded.

Same area Dog poop every day, 28th May
The problem is a person on Ascroft road is letting his huge dog out and it runs around to our area every day and poops on the front, the owner is taking now responsibility and just shouts it back after 5 minutes.

Houses Shaking When Busses go past, 12th May
Hi, I have had this issue for a few years, but recently the house shakes more violently when a bus/large vehicle goes down scot lane in either direction. it used to be a small shake but now the doors rattle and floor vibrates a lot.

2 x 20inch pot holes in middle of busy road, 10th March
Just before the railway bridge which is a give way bridge leading to miry lane industrial estate and a main Link road to Wigan town centre there are 2 very large pot holes in the road which are causing cars to swerve into oncoming traffic . I work for a council so I would say due to the position of the potholes it would need a temporary road closures with traffic diversion or out of hours with traffic management to sort it. But this is going to cause an accident if not acted on soon

Lighting, 8th March
The last light on Gidlow Lane WN67PD just after Bakewell Drive but before the farm enterance has been out for months, and me as a single lady has to walk up there as I live Gidlow Houses and its really dark and frightening for me on my own walking home.

Scot lane newtown wigan confusing signage, 27th February
The bottom of scot lane leading to montrose avenue is one way but for busses and cyclist only.. but cars vans and taxis use this as a short cut putting them head on with on coming traffic from montrose avenue.. there needs to be no entry signs clearly marked up and to clearly state no entry for cars, vans or taxis..or put a vehicle reg camera there..i have had too many near misses on that road..

Two pot holes within a few feet of each other, 10th November
Really deep pot holes about 30 foot from each other along this road. With cars parked on other side of road and both sides of traffic having to pass with smaller space it's impossible to avoid these. Been there for years but getting in worse condition

Parked cars always blocking our driveway and the only footpath to estate, 27th September
There is only one road that goes onto our estate. The house opposite us is a house where a disabled man lives who needs carers. It is the carers, and workmen doing work on the property, who regularly visit the house who park and cause a lot of distraction. Not only do they park opposite our driveway, which makes it impossible for us to get on and off without knocking on their door and asking them to move, but there is only pavement on their side of the road and they constantly park cars fully across it which in turn causes people who are walking or pushing prams to walk in to the road. Recently, which is the reason I am now contacting you, a young boy on his bike cane round the corner had to drive out in to the road as a car was coming towards him. I saw this from my living room window. Luckily, the car stopped and the boy swerved round him but this constant parking across the only pavement is getting ridiculous and almost daily!

Tree area fenced off leading cars to park on the gravel, however there is very little lighting meaning it is hazardous particularly with young children in tow in the dark
