There is litter and abandoned signs etc from previous roadworks all over the m58 m6 interchange and has not been cleaned for over 18 months. It is that bad it is encouraging more littering. You appear to have no schedule for this. You have a perfect opportunity with roadworks to sort this so please confirmn when this will be cleaned and further schedules for regular review and cleaning - I am trying to avoid also doing an FOIA so please send a full response

M6 Northbound, On Sliproad. Large and over 1" deep pothole in lefthand lane. Especially bad as it is on a bend and difficult to avoid.

Dead saplings, 20th February
The saplings planted to replace the mature trees knocked down for the new bridge at Orrell interchange have failed. This is having a direct impact on the houses near the junction as the tree provided protection from noise and light pollution. Since the trees have been removed this issue has been ongoing. To address this issue new trees were planted but you haven’t continued to care for these saplings and they have all died. Please could these be replaced and the replacements be taken care of so that they have a chance at succeeding. You could plant gather ferns or conifer trees which stand a better chance of surviving with little interference.

Traffic light has been knocked down, 20th February
I don’t know if these traffic lights come under your jurisdiction or the councils but the traffic lights at the top of Orrell interchange junction have been knocked over. They have been coned off but they’ve been like that for two weeks now. It makes it difficult for pedestrians to judge when to cross.

Litter around this junction, 20th February
There is a large amount of little around both roundabouts and up to the traffic lights in Orrell. In addition to the litter issues the trees that were planted to replace the ones you chopped down to put up the new bridge have all failed leading to increase noise pollution. Could both of these issues be addressed please.

Various Potholes on this stretch, 12th February
The A577 is used regularly when the M58 to the Orrell interchange is closed. HGV use this route and it shakes the house banging down the potholes . The A577 through Upholland is potholed all the way to Stannanought Road and is worn out and severely cracked up. The road has been breaking up before winter and frost which is obviously making things a lot worse. Unfortunately the way the potholes are currently fixed, ie dropping tarmac in, patting it down with no preparation or sealant it’s no wonder the repairs never last. Is there any plan to resurface this stretch anytime soon? Thanks

Considerable amount of litter, bottles etc on all tje slip roads leading up from m6 on the roundabout and road up to jct at Orrell Road, 9th February
As above, looks absolutely disgraceful and does nit look welcoming to anyone leaving at the jct. Grass is only ever cut once in summer amd then only the edges rather than the whole area so it's difficult to see traffic on the roundabout. Surely a local business could sponsor and maintain tje area ?
