Car on double yellows blocking passing places, 15th August
As Scottish Borders Council are well aware, the one-way system around Buccleuch Road, Mill Street & Yarrow Terrace should never have been taken away. The problem on all three of these roads is that traffic must commit to passing parked vehicles without being able to see if there's oncoming traffic due to turns in the road, with the line of sight blocked by walls and hedges.
SBC painted parking boxes on Yarrow Terrace with double yellows to create passing places (passing places which, coincidentally, are not big enough for an articulated lorry which occasionally use this road).
Making the passing places even less usable still is a black Vauxhall Insignia which is regularly and persistently parked on the double yellow lines of a passing place. Could Scottish Borders Council please remove this vehicle and charge the owner the relevant uplift and storage fees in order to dissuade them from blocking the passing places in this manner?

Car parking on pavement causing obstruction, 23rd June
The corner of the street here has had a car constantly parking on it, causing schoolchildren to walk on the road in order to get around. Today the car has swung up onto the verge dangerously, nearly hitting me so it can park. this is a dangerous and relatively busy junction so nobody should have to walk on the road where it isnt safe.

Gullies and drainage blocked with leaves, 25th March
After a lot of effort by the Council to fix the drainage here the road has not been cleaned, so the new drain and the gullies are choked with leaves. It needs someone to go along with a space and clear the drain and then a road sweeper to sweep up the leaves off the road.

Large pothole likely to damage wheels/suspension, 5th April
This pothole is on the northbound side of the A707 when looking at it on the map. It is on the side of the road you would be travelling on if travelling from Bannerfield to Yair Bridge. It's by the edge of the road on a gentle corner, however you have no choice but to hit the pothole if there is oncoming traffic. With water running off the hills through the pothole, it is constantly getting larger, and is likely to cause damage to tyres/wheels/suspension.
