Less cutting of grass, 21st July
Please less cutting of grass in the graveyard - large areas could be left for nature- wildflowers and grasses..espcially at the bottom away from the abbey and entrance.
And all the cut grass left to make it worse for wildflowers and mowers- please no
Also the area south and east of the graveyard- the park area- leave a lot of this area for nature.

Road surface erosion/potholes, 5th February
This section of road was damaged in 2015 and continues to erode. It is at the back entrance to the Borders General Hospital in Melrose and is a hazard for cyclists and motorcyclists, particularly if turning right or in the middle of the road. There is also a further deterioration of the road at the side, in an area where cyclists will be forced to ride to avoid being knocked off by passing traffic, including buses

Overgrown Hedges, 2nd July
Deanroad Newstead. URGENT the hedges need to be cut well back outside Rathlyn & 2 Dean Cottages, this is the narrowest part of this road which has NO pavement this is required in the interest of pedestrian & road safety.

Wind Blown Tree, 16th January

Footpath Sweeping, 3rd December
The Blackpath footway to the south of Deanroad needs to be cleared of leaves. the path through the cutting is completely covered with wet leaves at present and it is slippery. The same needs to be done at the other end of the path where it joins Backroad at Newstead.
