Massive potholes a few mins after Carframill, 9th April
There's a couple of MASSIVE, accident-waiting-to-happen potholes appeared after the recent bad weather as you drive south on the A697 and have driven past Carframill restaurant on the left. Just about crashed our car on two separate ragged holes that we hit on the left side of the road in the rain and dark last weekend. A serious road accident only narrowly avoided and we're hoping it's not caused too much damage to the car/tyre - TAKE CARE in low light and bad weather along there. We think the first massive pothole was around 5 minutes after the restaurant, and it looked like it was a grate/manhole cover cracked and spreading (according to the car passenger).

Serious maintenance required, 4th April
The stretch of road on A68 (Edinburgh bound) a good bit before Shielfield turn off to the Wiselaw mill turn off is nothing short of a dirt track!
