Car without front number plate leaves car most daytime hours.....just adjacent to the top of the High Street Ayton by red charity clothes recycling container. It's not there overnight. Arrives Monday to Friday approx 6am so definitely driving without number plate

Water running under wall onto pavement., 2nd March
This was previously sent to the council via here and came back as not their problem. Who's problem is it then? The pavement has water running onto under a wall which has been a problem for years now. This is right next to a bus stop, it was icy this morning, who's liability is it if a pedestrian has an accident due to this? Is the wall safe after having this issue for several years? There's also overhanging foliage but apparently that's not the councils responsibility either.

Top of High Street Ayton TD14, by bus stop water running from under wall onto pavement and overgrowth hanging over pavement causing hazards to pedestrians. This is at a bus stop so particularly precarious.

Road deteriorating and large potholes., 19th February
Slip road and junction at A1 northbound from Ayton High Street is a disgrace and getting worse. Road has eroded on the slip road joining the A1 and at the junction entrance.

Pot holes x 7, 13th January
Deep pot holes that are likely to cause damage to cars. We have to use this road to take refuge to the top of the lane - potential injury due to bin wheel accessing a very deep pot hole. Wrist damage/back injury.
Someone is going to get hurt and I consider a temporary repair not adequate. This has. Been fine before and lasted no time at all.

When will the blue bin get emptied?, 23rd August
We pay far to much for our council tax, still the system is imploding, covid ? , lack of staff?, the bin lorry is broke? Come on start managing the problem, Tuesday bin pickup , no bin pick up ? Should I stop paying my council tax?

A1 south still has two temporary road signs saying the the A1107 to Eyemouth is closed. The roadworks finished last week.

Freezer / Beer cans, 12th February
Freezer dumped in field and lots of beer cans dumped on grass verge.

Ayton Play Park, 1st December
Request for scruffy equipment in park to be painted back in August. Council has not done it due to health and safety reasons and said will be done in spring at earliest. Meanwhile children have a disgrace of a park. Council are holding onto builders contribution after new housing development built last year but have said park won't be updated until 2026/27. None of the Councillors or local MP contacted are able to do anything apparently. Kids are loosing out.

B6355 road through Ayton potholes, 9th November
Several potholes and general disintegrated areas of road. Has recently been reported to Scottish Borders Council who replied that the road is not bad enough to get any repairs done at the moment. Others disagree.

Deterioration and potholes, 17th September
On the B6355 Ayton high street to bridge the road has several potholes and is in general disrepair. The whole length is a disgrace with the previous efforts to fill in early in the year now disintegrated.

The road going towards the bridge out of Ayton is terrible and has several potholes which are getting worse. The otheside of the road is not much better with the tarmac breaking up. Needs sorted. Thanks
