Two problems sorry! The bridging point across the stream and eroding road opposite the entrance drive of Little Pengelly Farm (Brookdale Farm on your map).Unfortunately the road is beginning to collapse where the ford crosses the road. I have video and can send it on whats Ap if you wish, if you need to see the impact of the stream, 13th February

Streams are eroding the road opposite the entrance of Little Pengelly Farm (this requires business access. Streams are eroding the road in the valley. The latter problem was noted by the area's road foreman for road repairs some 5 or 6 years ago? Three streams meet at this point (when it rains they flow vigorously as the water table is up.) The streams are eroding the stones away at the shoulders of the road. The road has become narrower and now lorries are further damaging the road (it is the only access for lorries to Trenwheal hamlet for lorries and farm traffic as there are very tight bends in the other direction.) Thank you for your help.

Edge of road cracking., 16th September

Mon, 16 Sep 2019 17:03:48 +0100
50.149579 -5.345002

When the guy came to survey the road for the current roadworks this area was covered in mud. This part of the road is outside our property. Tractors from S.E.F and the Methane plant at Pengelly Farm pull in here to let vehicles pass them, plus it's also the widest part of this stretch of road for Articulated Lorries and other wide vehicles to pass each other. The tarmac is breaking up and being as you have works being carried out in the area this week it seems a good time to get it sorted.

Old caravan base (originally loaded with 60 tyres) abandoned mid Sept, reported but still there., 17th October

Wed, 17 Oct 2018 19:48:18 +0100

Large, old, dilapidated caravan base loaded with +60 tyres abandoned on bridleway mid Sept. I reported it straight away, operative came next day, took photos said would be removed within 48 hours. Nothing happened. Over next 2 weeks I rang again and again, spoke to several officers, various solutions and problems mentioned but eventually tyres removed about 2 weeks ago but base still there. Spoke to Consumer Protection officer again on 11th Oct who said colleague would ring me early this week with information, it did not happen, so I rang again today (wed) but officer in meeting, told he would ring me when free but by end of day had heard nothing so rang again but officer I spoke to could find no record of any of this. Have given up ! Rang (Loveday Jenkin) my Ward Councillor to ask for her help/advice, she said she would do what she could but advised me to look at this website...done. I report fly tipping in this area quite regularly and the service has always been excellent...so what has gone wrong this time?

Risk of collapse of the roadway and of serious injury., 7th February

Wed, 07 Feb 2018 16:54:42 +0000
50.148863 -5.333914

The roadway (at the point where it runs NW to SE alongside the stream) has been long been compromised by undermining by the stream, certainly ever since I moved to the area more than three years ago. Recent heavy rainfall has exacerbated the problem to the point where the road surface is overhanging thin air in at least one place. The risk is not just of the sudden collapse of parts of the roadway but also of serious injury to occupants of any vehicle whose weight might trigger such a collapse.

There is a serious pothole literally before the crossroads which had been repaired previously but obviously not good enough as it has reopened. As its on a junction you cant swerve it every time as there is traffic in all directions. Dangerous!
